It is located only a few hundred meters from the rocky south shore and the bottom lies between 15 to 40 ft from the surface, the volcanic rock formations are covered with a decent variety of soft and hard corals, although there are not much coral formations in the area, the amazing amount of sea life in this ecosystem is impressive. El Bajo scuba & snorkel A small sea mountain, we dive this site in 30 to 60 ft of water and the max. Depth is 80 ft. There are more fish, more coral, shallow volcanic formations and the high light of this site are the sea turtles, zebra moray eels and a great deal of sea life. on the west side of the reef, the sand bottom falls rapidly to great depths. El Paredon scuba & snorkel This site starts at the south edge of The Canyon in a shallow 60 ft surface to bottom wall and is a drift dive along the south face of the biggest islet of Los Arcos, it is also a multilevel dive starting at 40 ft to 60 ft and ending the dive in 20 ft to 25 ft. Very enjoyable dive in which you do not have to turn back and find the boat, the boat fallows the divers until they surface. Very good interaction with Eagle Rays El Cañón & La Quijada Del Diablo scuba The Canyon and the Devil’s Jaw are excellent dive spots for the diver seeking for more adventure below the 60 ft mark. | Los Arcos are composed by 5 rocky islets covered with grass, cactus and small trees. The islets are natural sanctuary for pelicans, sea hawks, blue footed boobie birds and swallows, the unforgiving effect of erosion had formed amazing tunnels and arches; the sea life is abundant and is the site with more biodiversity in the bay of Banderas. |

| I just wanted to say thank you for your time , the refresher and the great diving experience two weeks ago. I'm back home now in Canada, and back to work. I will catch up with you in about a year when I return to do it again. Thanks again. Cheers. Karen Knight. Edmonton, Alberta Canada Hey guys, I just wanted to say thank y'all for the wonderful time Monday, March 12, on the snorkeling trip to Los Arcos. Lara was great, as was the rest of the crew that morning, and I will definitely be recommending Chico's to my friends heading down to P. Vallarta. Jason Darling. Austin, Texas |
| We had a lovely time! The folks at Chico's Dive Shop were wonderful in handling the group from LandMark Education, staying at the Westin: they loaned us prescription goggles even though we brought no credit cards; they fitted us cheerfully with fins; the shuttle to the catamarin was fun and well-accomplished by the men who pushed us off the beach; the ride to Los Arcos was beautiful; the "skipper" was very friendly and helpful, and tried to see to it that we had the best time possible. The little gal from New York was the very best. She is a great asset to your venture. She's very professional, keeps an eye on everyone, saw to everyone's needs, no matter waht their physical capabilities, was a gracious hostess to boot, and just made the trip, all around, enjoyable for EVERYONE. What a gal! Keep her...Thanks for delivering all of us straight to the Marina, where the bus picked us up. Gratefully, Susan Mayer-Smith |
